I’m doing this as a post because I am NOT going to keep this up to date the same way I am for Bluesky at the moment. And eventually I will likely upload a spreadsheet.
But a quick pass for Mastodon on Tools that will work that ALSO currently have Bluesky capabilities:
All apps can post images with alt text.
All can do hashtags and links though some did embeds and others did not.
All apps can do video that converts to gifs (Mastodon doesn’t handle video the same way as other platforms) with Fedica being the only one to do alt text for the video post.
